no OEM replacement window??
no OEM replacement window??
my car got broken into last night (read: https://g35driver.com/forums/g-spot/105226-car-got-broken-into.html)
anyways, i called a mobile window repair place and requested to get an OEM nissan/infiniti window. the guy tells me that nissan/infiniti and acura do not make OEM window replacements (Is this true???). i take their word. I just got back home to inspect my car, and that has to be the worst window and replacement job i've seen in my life!!
first of all, you can hear all the shattered glass rattling in the door when opening and closing. the guy didnt vacuum it too well. then the vertical edge of the glass does not sit flush with the back window due to it being too thick and having the incorrect curveture. you can see the window edge stick out from the rear angle. last, but not least, the window itself rolls down really slow at first, and then it finally starts picking up speed.
can i go to the infiniti dealership to have it done there??

You can try the dealership but highly doubt they'll do it. You'd have a better chance going to a reputable bodyshop and have them get an oem window. btw...they do have oem. Window repair shops just don't carry it. You could also buy the window here. It'll cost you $240.21 plus whatever S&H fees. You could either have the repair shop install it for you or take it to the dealer. You'll probably save an arm and a leg going this route vs going to the bodyshop. If you could live with the window not fitting well but not the rattling, remove the trimming and do it yourself. Good luck
