Rim Scratch

Does anyone know where i can find the color for the oem 19" rims. I recently scratched them and was wondering if i can fix it my self with some paint work. The only problem is that i can't find a the paint color, i want a almost perfect match, if not perfect.

If its the coupe 19's, I believe its call hyper silver. How are you gonna repair the wheel yourself? Even if you have the paint, brushing it on won't duplicate the finish like the original. Leave it to the pro, but its gonna cost ya $$.

BTW, welcome to G35driver.com Enjoy your stay!

Its just some curb rash, but i hate the way it looks. I found a site that shows you how to do it with, sand paper, putty, primer paint and clearcoat. It looks fairly simple and its in a semi-small area. Also, all the materials are in different aerosol spray cans.

please put up the link to that site. I saw a site where the guy repairs a porsche rim and takes you step by step and I always thought that was a good site to keep bookmarked (of course I never bookmarked and couldn't find it again)

Thats a shame to hear the color didn't match, I was gonna give it a try as well. Any other thought on the color? I wonder if one of the wheel repair places would be willing to tell the color....

i spoke to the customer service at autopia and they said that thier color would not match, but the hypersilver i ordered form expresspaint looked like plain silver when i applied it. Im thinking about ordering graphite but its alot of work to strip it if thats not the right color. Right now i have a sanded wheel with some primer on it.
