you're seriously asking if the Infiniti G35 is a ricemobile? Are you f*cking crazy. Its not a honda... maybe for all you who start taking away from the luxury and adding on these crazy bodykits, front grills and crazy rims...but IMO a stock G is no where NEAR a ricer/race boy..its a sexy looking "luxury coupe"...

Yeah I HAD a STi, I traded it in to get away from the riceboy feel. I got this cause its pretty damn quick, and has every luxury feature I want/need. Personally I plan on doing some engine work, and mods to get it nice and faster, as for the look of it, I plan on staying the same so it doesnt get the ricer look. (though I have seen some really nice body kits on the G.) But no, in my opinion it certainly is NOT a ricer, or rice boy car, or whatever the phrase was.

Honestly, I did not expect to see the percentage of the older drivers that high. That probably defeats my original observation of the G being a boyish car. And, I have to confess, going through my midlife crisis, I like it

I think I was biased because younger drivers are more active in the forums.

i disagree "homie" While people may RICE OUT the G, its no ricemobile or boy racer car stock..

it may seem alot of teenagers are driving Gs..making you think its a boy racer...but thats just because there will inevitably be more young drivers on all these forums rather than older guys who just dont care about forums or are not tech savy. these forums are a small percentage of G drivers out there.
soo some guys may put body kits, spoilers and rims..and may be the majority of people on the forums..but its an even smaller percentage of overall G drivers.. the Gcoupe is still a sexy "luxury sport coupe" and no where near a boy racer WRX/EVO/Neon

I think you should've added a 16-20 category... because I just turned 21 and I traded my RSX in for the G35c. I thought I was such an adult when I was 18, and now I look back and know how much less mature I was. My RSX turned out nice with all the mods... but I wanted a classier image for clients, etc... so I got the G. It doesn't have the image of a 5-series or an S-class, but it's definitely not a ricer.

It looks sporty without looking like a rice rocket. It's no Mercedes, but the interior is pretty luxurious. It performs well without sacrificing comfort. It really is the car that's the best of all worlds... it's not a lounger, but it's not a ricer. It's all class, man. Even the coupe.

 

same here. i just got out of a WRX and am also 21. I didn't want to be in law school/court driving up in a bright blue WRX, i felt stupid. The G is classy and still quick enough to enjoy.

 

I can't see the STI, Evo, IS300 or our cars as the boy racer cars. These cars are way more then those types of people should be able to handle. I mean when I was a teen no way I could afford one of those. Parents should not be buying these cars for them either. Its just asking for too much trouble. However if they paid for it with their own money then good for them. I'm sure by saving enough to buy it they realize it shouldn't be treated as a boy racer/ricer car. Adding stickers and a go kart muffler does not make this car cool. Its already sweet.

 

man...... i'm 33 yrs old, a doctor, and my g looks absolutely like a racer..... not ricer.... b.c it's not a civic, accord, or sub $35K car....but in all honesty, kids now and these days are driving some high class cars....... my G will soon be my beater car............ Porsche here i come.....!

I am 24 and upgraded from an 04 VW R32 to get into something with more luxury and little to no loss in performance. I don't see how a $40,000 car could be considered as a "boy ricer" car. If it is considered one, oh well, I like mine . If someone wants me to drive something else, they can make the car payment
