The more I read G-related forums the more I think that the G has the image of a boy-racer car. Definitely not like a Civic or an Eclipse but more like an STi, an EVO8, or IS300. Am I right in this observation? The "Teen G35 Owners Raise Your Hands!" thread seems to confirm it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I understand that if I create a poll trying to determine the age distribution it would not be representative just because older G owners usually do not participate in forum type communications as much as the younger drivers do. But I'm still gonna give it a try.

20 year old college student/full-time detailer who wanted to upgrade from an Accord. Rarer (at least around here) than basically anything in its class except the CTS (which my mom owns) and out-performs basically all of them except the new 3-series (but, considering the new G is one its way, that's not a fair comparison) in most aspects. Rarer + performance + upgrade + quality made my decision. The other primary choice was a CTS, but for the 3.6L it was even more expensive than the G.

Wait a year or two when the used G's are hitting up the sales floor, riced out G's, especially coupes are going to explode. When I went to go buy my G my dad wouldn't stop bugging me about getting the coupe, but I was set on the sedan because IMO it looks better than the coupe.

But yeah, I find the coupe to fall under the boy ricer and mid life crisis catagory.

 

I agree with the "Boy Racer", but I DEFINATELY dont agree with the "Boi Ricer" image.

How can anyone say it has a ricer image? Cmon its not like its a POS car that anyone can get a hold off.

The day I see a ricer G, I will seriously destroy it, then kill myself. Dont be surpriced if that same day the world ends.


I hope the new G's are around average 2k more expensive to stay safe; I dont mind that as long as the price makes up for performance and looks.

 

Good thing is that used sedans are cheaper than used coupes. Its the looks

 

Alot of fortunate teens are lucky enough to have been given a G.. Except most of them come on the boards thinking clear corners are the hottest mods ever.. then expect to beat Evo's and STi's =X

And Definitely Don't Look Like A Boy Racer Type Of Car.. I Still Own A 96 Honda Accord... Fully Customized.. It Really Depends On The Owner Of The "g".. If They Fix It Up Like A Honda, Then That's A Ricer..

 

i am 24 from Bean Town baby..I TRADED in my g35 SEDAN for a G35 COUPE last friday wooty woot for me...The G pwns..My boy with his Vortec SC..smoked a 2004 BMW M3..i was crying in tears..it was so funny listen to this kid with his bemer talk **** but whne i came down to business..the German Pos..was in our rear view...n thats the way it shoulod be THE END

Well I am 24 years old soon to be 25. I do not live at home and am a Veteran of the Armed Forces. I never really been a ricer or into cars that much and owned a Saturn for four years before purchasing my G Coupe. I bought it because I think it is a sweet a$$ ride and decided to do something for myself. I plan on adding some upgrades but I will never rice it out or anything like that.
