Flat tire got a 4" nail in my tire

So with that I will be getting my tire repaired good thing it went down when I got home. Took the tire out and saw what I thought was a small piece on metal. Air was coming out of it so just pulled the damn thing out I was surprise on how long the nail was. It was a miracle that whole tire didn't blow. My car look retarded with the spare tire on. I have to get this tire fix I just can't bare the shame when people see me driving around with a spare on. SUCKS!

You can buy a tire repair kit at the auto store that costs about $10. It will allow you repair about 10-15 tires. I've repaired about 5 tires in the past 5 years. Putting the plug is really easy. I always have an air compressor in my car so making road side repairs are easy.

Plugs arent really used anymore, its best to take it to a tire shop and have a patch put in, its only about $25. But the plugs had always worked fine for me in the past as well. Its like glueing in a big rubber-band.

Glenn if you're riding on 19", it'd be best to take it down a shop and have it patched up. Like Aman said, plugs aren't really used anymore. Tires should really be patch from the inside out. Although fixing a flat already compromises the tires' speed rating, plugs may do more harm than good in the long run.

Hey why you ryding in the G' when you got your CLS? Showoff! pssh...haha jk

Angry

I feel your pain. Last week I go next door and tell my neighbor to turn down her music. Our clients could hear the music on the phone when we were talking to them that's how loud it was. So I go next door ask her to turn it down and she does reluctantly. Coincedentaly the next day after washing the G i notice I've got a slashed front tire. Now I've only had my G a few weeks. I don't even have my permanent license plate yet. So i realy havent
driven it anywhere where i have to park it and leave it unattended. I can't
proove the biatch did it but c'mon. I know everyone else in our shopping center and I am friendly w/them. This person is a brand new tenant and she's
already caused problems for other tenants in the center.
BTW new update today. Now the biatch has somehow managed to back up
the plumbing that we all share for the shopping center.

The guys that say patch are half right...

Technically you should patch and plug... But if you can't IMHO a patch is better
