Help Me Decide Guys!

alright so im close to buying a black g35 its a 2005 has everything but navigation and 13k miles on it and there asking for $33,000

ok so i came along this car...its a 03 caribbean blue including navigation and the guy said he will add the spoiler for no cost..it has 16 k miles on it. I test drove it and everything is crisp and clean..asking for $26,000

so do you guys think its worth putting 7,000 in my pocket or should i go for the newer interior and year? Thanks for all your suggestions!

I'm guessing you are buying AT (no brembos on the blue)?

Interior is marginally better in the 05 and ups, but really... not by much. Get the dealer to cut the price more, or threaten to buy a 350Z. Unless they have a lot of them. You can buy a similarly equipped 350 for probably 6000 less. Just say that even if you don't want one.

Anyways, go for the 03. It has low miles, and you say that it is clean and new-ish, and to be honest, my opinion is that the car could use more torque rather than HP (which the 03-04's do). However, check the tire wear on the front and back, and see if it is uneven. If the insides are worn, and there is any tire roar, don't buy that one. Also, listen for clicking sounds from the rear when you take off from a start.

Oh, and if you can find an 04, that would be even better. Shouldn't be a whole lot more expensive.

And.... well, I think that's it. Good luck on your buy, whichever you decide.

$7k is a lot of dough...you could supercharge that sucker for that much. I say go for the smurf color and pocket the money

those are some insane prices, I say keep looking. 33k for a year old with 13k is too much IMO. Also 26k for a 03 is a little high even tho it has low miles.

yeah i looked that over and most of it is dirt...there are minor scratches but this isnt a new car so you gotta expect something...but its safe to say i couldnt find anything wrong with the interior..100% from the inside

im leaning towards the blue now since it seems to be such a rare color and i saw at least 3 black g35s on my way back from the dealer..but the only thing in the back of my head is that its a 03

that is too much for those cars!! you can get an 06, brand new and completely loaded (except for rear stear) for 36k.

a couple more things. when i was in the market for mine, passport infiniti (d.c. area) offered me a brand new 05 with nav for 33.9K. for 2k more, i went for an 06. also, that blue is ugly, the new nav system is much better.

If you are still leaning toward the 03 it would be wise to check service records. Record the VIN and contact any Infiniti dealership as they should be able to tell you how often they have seen the car for service. It may give you an idea of any troubles with the car if they exist.

You may need to contact a few as some or more than willing to provide good information and some don't give you anything.

Good luck!
