lol, you tell me I NEED to check out a website and dont even know the name of it Bob is the oil guy (bitog it was in the first few lines of my thread)

then you tell me that on BITOG "saw enough testimonials and test on there showing that there are a lot more harm than good in oil addatives."

yeah? which products?... not the ones I mentioned. I'm guessing the harsh solvent type cleaners

You "said" Auto-RX does not work but cant back up your statement...yet I can, look at the links.... I guess all those people work for auto RX

G35 Mass, have fun searching for a link or something to prove me wrong. I did my research. I would not put anything into my Mothers car or a friends car, let alone my car before doing alot of research.

Keep thinking that all maintenance products are harsh chemicals (most are but not all) that will melt your engine, and coming into threads dismissing something, when you know nothing about the subject

My same response from the 'other' forum :)

I am very conservative when it comes to additives. There is only one for ATF that has been used extensively for many years by RVers for keeping their transmissions cool. (sorry the name escapes me now....comes in a small red plastic bottle..)
Other than the occassional addition of a bottle of Techron to the tank, I have a 90% concern that dropping in additives on a regular basis is a waste of money, and 10% concern it might actually be harmful.

Good quality lubrication with regular maintenance trumps a mulititude of products on the shelf everytime. Paying to add things that save you money seems like diminishing returns to me.

Every time I get interested in a new product, I remember back to my old cars I kept for over 100K miles in perfect running condition using oil that when compared with the oils available today was vastly inferior.

Chirp Chirp... where is G35 Mass?

still searching for something that will back up your statement ?

"Yea, saw enough testimonials and test on there (Bitog) showing that there are a lot more harm than good in oil addatives."

still laughing at this! you tell me to go to Bob is the Oil guy, which is where I got 90% of my info on these products, not to mention all these products I use have positive reviews on Bitog LOL.

C'mon where is the proof you "saw enough testimonials and test on there"
you took the time to trash me but have nothing to back it up.

still waiting for proof that any of the products I use cause harm to my car.

Next time know something about the subject before you start talking.

yea I saw that test too.... Was it on any of the products I mentioned?

Dont think so.....

Your right since.......you saw one test... on one product, so now all oil addictives will destroy your car.

here is a secret

you might want to sit down for this one.

the oil in you engine right now has addictives!!! OMG!!!!!!

Like I said dont talk when you dont know anything about the subject, you say the addictives I use do damage, you state your opinion like its fact but cant back it up

still waiting for proof the products I use do harm

Lol If you actually went to Bob IS the oil guy rather then trying to sound intelligent by telling me I should check it out. You would know a 3k oil change is pointless even with Dino oil. All modern Oils can go above that.

you tell me I buy into hype... who told you oil only lasts 3k? The Jiffy lube guy?

If the seal is not damaged can you explain why is it leaking?

I think we have all used additives at one time or another to fix a leak, or clean something up. I think most folks use additives for 'sick' engines, not for those that are problem-free.

When you HAVE to use additives on a regular basis, it is time for a mechanic.

Additives used in motor oils and fuels are blended based on a formula. They are not added in after the fact to mix with other unknown chemicals.

No one needs to prove additives are harmful. There are already tests run all the time on additives, it's called 'time'.
