Is it going a quarter of the way down or a quarter of an inch down?

The windows are supposed to close and open 1/4 inch when the door opens and closes, but it's not supposed to go a quarter of the way down.

Definitely doesn't sound right. I'd take it to the dealer if it's still under warranty.

Your window is off the track, my friend had the same issue with his Z. Somehting about since it's off track it triggers the safety system and forces it to roll down. Take it to the dealer, have them reset the window into the track and it should be fine. ^^
