i ordered my custom plate about 8 weeks ago and i know it takes up to 12. i just got my second no front license plate ticket because i dont have the original front plate. the previous owner forgot to give it to me so i cant put that one on while i wait. so my question is, can you guys tell me how long it took for your custom plate to come? thanks.

sorry to steal the thread but how much is the ticket? is it a simple $10 fix-it ticket?

I keep getting the $25 fine for not having one, mostly from meter maids and only once have I been pulled over by the LAPD for not having a front license plate (once again a $25 fixit ticket) and you know what?

F it. I'm not going to put one on. Ever. I bought the Stillen detachable front license plate to show that I mounted it. Once they say, great, done, I'll take it off and put the little plastic cover back on. No exposed holes whatsoever.

The front license plate is an absolute eyesore and I think it's a stupid law. I think it's enforced so that the photocop machines can get a better glimpse at us.

Mine arrived around week # 10. It seemed like an eternity.

Do the cops just look at the front of your car to see that the plate is mounted before they sign off your ticket or to they really go up and tug on it to make sure that it's mounted on properly?

Front plates were the law LONG before photocop was even an idea.

some cops will just look at it. other cops will tug on it to make sure its not duct taped on. anyone know if the stillen detachable front license plate fix will fit an 06? their site only lists 03, 04, and 05. i dont see why it wouldnt fit but id like to know before i spend 60+ dollars..
