Cool Preventing clear marker theft

So I just spent the entire day searching with no real results.
What mods are either available or has someone come up with to prevent the side marker from easily being taken off. I just put on a set of clears and would like them to stay there for a while. I actually saw a thread about it on here but couldn't find it again. Any help would be greatful.

Lol, funny you posted this... I went out to my car about a week ago and noticed my drivers side clear corner missing. I was pissed. I had my orange ones still so I painted them Twilight Blue... I was looking for a way to keep them on so I bought some plastic zip ties and figured out to put them thru the metal clips and the frame work of the car to keep them in place behind the wheelwell cover. They are snug and can not be removed without cutting the zip ties. Problem solved.

Thanks, going to try the zip tie later on today. On a side note, man the oem light with the clear marker is hideous. Put on the lights last night just to look... turned it right off. Ordered white led's off ebay. I should take some pics soon... since i'm a photographer and all.

Ducatiguy also posted a DIY many moons ago. Basically, If I remember correctly, you drill a 2 small holes in the plastic on the back of the side marker (You will see that there are tabs that kind of stick out). Then you use a pin (assuming you can use a piece of coat hanger), loop the ends and you're all set. Something along those lines anyway.

I found the easiest way to prevent my clear corners from getting stolen, was to paint them amber

Joking aside, I remember someone saying that when they "secured" their clear corners, the would-be-thief ended up damaging the car in a fit of rage when attempting to steal them....
