Painted side mirror mount?

Has anyone here painted their side mirror mount?

Could you post pictures of it? How hard was it to remove them for painting?

Do you meen this one ? To remove the mirror, you need to remove the door panel, then 3 nuts and an electrical plug.

everyone tells me to paint those pieces too. Don't know how much it would cost. But it would look way cleaner.

Here is mine: https://g35driver.com/forums/canada/108021-pc-marathon-session.html

My body shop did it while they were replacing my front bumper. Insurance paid for mine.

I painted mine too. The black plastic will eventually turn more grey as the plastic ages.

That really looks good painted. Even when looking at cars at the dealership you could see the plastic fading, so it looks like a good idea.

If you take the mirror off the door, it shouldn't cost too much to prep and paint.

For those that have done it, how much did it cost? I'm thinking of getting it done this fall/winter, as the plastic on my 03 is definitely fading.

Thx

My doors are getting repainted, so they are repainting those too, but my bodyshop said they will charge $60 to paint both if you take the mirrors off yourself... for those in NorCal who are interested, I can introduce you to them.
