What's your RPM at 80MPH in Sixth Gear

I am just curious to know what is your RPM is when you are curising in sixth gear going 80MPH, mine is at 3K rpm, I think that's why I have been consistantly getting 24.5 mpg during my highway commute. I noticed when I drove the camery at 80MPH it's rpm is only 2500. So I tried to drive the G below between 2K ~ 2.5K rpm, man it was so hard

Around 3k RPM is normal. It's all about the gearing. The camry has different gearing.

3k, high rpm like 3k is not gonna waste gas, it all about how far are you pushing the gas pedal.

exactly. cruising @ 80 can still get me 22-25MPG, then again, the road has to be leveled, with no hills and yada yada yada..

if I'm not in a hurry, i just keep it at 65. no need to get home 5 minutes early anyway lol
