I gotta Question about Turbos??

Im kinda new to the whole turbocharged world so i need a little help. When a car is turbo charged, does it automatically have boost controllers in it. if it doesnt is that something that i have to get. is it really important?? wheat exactly do they do?? if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

boost controllers regulate the amount of psi is being boosted. most aftermarket turbo systems should have boost controllers already integrated with the whole package. hope this helps

Do turbo systems come with blow off valves??

better yet, since you don't know the basics, you really need to read this http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm before you blow up your engine.

the wastegate regulates boost by releasing excess exhaust gases (into the open air or back to the exhaust stream after the turbo) set by the spring inside the wastegate. The wastegate is placed before the turbo to regulate the amount of boost sensed by the vacuum in the intake manifold (that's where the wastegate vacuum port is connected to the intake manifold)

blow off valve releases the pressure build up from the turbo after the throttle is closed (let off the gas) You don't want the excess pressure to go back to the turbo because it will damage it.
