Glove Compartment Light

Important question:

I just had the dealer replace my window because there were water streaks which I could not remove that were there when I got it. When I got it back and drove it home at night, I realized that I could see the glove compartment light from the driver seat so it wasn't closing all the way!

My question is, is this normal?? and.. it doesn't seem like the glove compartment light switches off when your headlights are on even if it's closed (ajar or completley closed). I couldn't find any switches that turn off that light. If it doesn't switch off, that's pretty lame.

If I get enough repsonses telling me that no one has this problem, I am going to take it back tomorrow AGAIN, and have them fix this. If others are the same way and it's unfixable, then I won't waste my time.

I took a couple photos so everyone can see and get a better understanding of what I'm talking about.

It might not look lilke much in the photo, but believe me, it's really annoying when you're driving. Plus I don't want my G35 to seem like it's broken!!

i searched and didn't find any threads on it. Doesn't mean they don't exist, I just didn't find it. But nonetheless, this is an 06' 6MT. It does seem pretty ghetto cuz I can push the compartment upward a little bit. So, so far i got two "not normals"......

Any response is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the rethreading.

yeah I got kinda pissed about that this weekend. its normal I have an 06 6mt, I looked for a switch or button inside but nothing. the only thing I can think of is putting a switch inside yourself and wiring to the bulb so you can turn it off and on.

Normal bro. The light comes on with the park/light, headlight switch now. There's no g/b switch anymore.

do a little adjusting the glove box to see if that will help. or you can always fabricate a small plastic seal around the glove box?

my 06 doesn't have this problem and i've taken off my glove box about 35 times already...
