Ipod FM Transmitter? Anyone have a good one?

I am still looking for options for using my ipod in the G35. I am not sure I am up to the install hard install unit, not sure I want to take the dash appart so early in the cars life.

Anyone using a good fm transmitter?

fm ain't that good...
my advice: if you have a 2004 or below, get a tape deck.. quality is good (keep ipod volume at 3/4ths)...yes there is a wire but its 5 dollars

2005 up, use mp3 cds... a cd cost like what, a dollar? and you can put your most recent songs on that.. even if you have a 60 gig fully loaded, your only going to be listening to a hand full...

search the "audio" forums for this "ipod".

you have lots of options. the best one is to get the adapter for hardwiring it directly into the audio system. i forgot what it's called, but you'll find it with no problem on other threads.

+1 . . . Last year, I went through 4 FM transmitters. They were all terrible. I finally started using the mp3 player feature. It works great.

As everyone else said DO NOT GET AN FM TRANSMITTER. The sound quality is horrible and sometimes very static-ky... Just spend the extra money and get the PAC. In the end you will spend approx. $300(if someone else installs it) for the complete setup of the PAC. I had both and I think the PAC has been my best mod to the G yet (if you love music).

i thought someone sold an aftermarket MDI unit that features an aux jack
that hooks up to the satellite input. now if you already have sat radio
hooked up, i don't think you can use it.

i don't have the link, but run a search as i remember reading about it at

Take a look at the Kensington Pico and RDS FM Transmitter/Car Charger.
