Drunk Drivers

I was on my way to work this morning going down I95 and there was this guy swerving in front of me. It's 8:30am in rush hour traffic and it's bad enough you've got to deal with that and trying to get to work on time (I know I tried to leave early). So long story short I drop down from 4th to 3d punch it while switching lanes and as I'm passing him I look over. This guy is chugging down Budwisers and singing to the top of his lungs. Talk about a flash back of what happened to my last coupe. Any horrific stories about oui's? Share them. Here are some pics from my SI. I was going home in the far right lane one night after work and I feel this bump in the rear. I check my passenger side mirror and a Toyota Tacoma pickup comes up and hits me in the passenger side fender causing me to spin out. I hit the wall and bounced back out into the middle lane where he hit me again and plowed me about 600 yards before running over the back of my car and flipping over. When all was said and done he was in the middle lane upside down facing oncomming traffic and I was in the slow lane facing the correct way. Thank God I was able to walk away from that one. After all the beer cans were found in his car and over the road do you believe I got a citation (which I beat after an appeal) for marked lane violation!

Glad you're okay. There is absolutely no excuse for driving drunk, let alone drinking while you're driving.

Wow, how on earth does someone like that "slip thru the cracks".......
...and taking his licence away doesn't stop him from getting behind the wheel.....That guy needs to be watched closely, preferably behind bars.

Hi-Tech, glad to hear you're ok bro...

My dad was a cop for 24 years. His advice to me (not as a cop) when you spot someone who is most like drunk is to hang back, way way back. Don't try to pass. Phone the cops if possible. If you don't have or can't find a phone, pull over, stop and or consider taking another route.

Amazing how stupid some people can be. Drunk driving should be an automatic, no license forever. Get thrown in jail for serious time if you're caught drunk again or a serious fine if caught sober without a license.

Good to see you're okay. One of my best friends died from a hit and run accident by a drunk driver a few years back. At least that guy was caught.
