+1. I got that same compliment that came in the form of a question. Yes, I was asked as well if it had a V-8 in it. Man, that made my day!

 

I was in Santa Cruz sitting in the car waiting for a friend and a couple walked up on the car. It was a little dark out, and they were just standing on front of the car. Say how nice it was and wondering what type of car it was.. I hear the guy say Infiniti.. They look up, see that I am in the car smile and walk away.. ...... It sure made me feel good about the my car.

guy: your car is sick...what kind of exhaust is that?
me: hks hi power ti tip
guy: that thing sounds sick...im not gonna even try to race you
me: thanks man

first compliment i got on the exhaust from a non friend...good way to end the night...

 

I don't get many compliments at all. The most is "I like your car..."

My fiance says that people say things about it all the time, just when I'm not around to hear.... ?

 

Them: "That front lip looks so nice, it makes your car look more agressive. And it's so original, I have never seen a front lip like this on a sedan before!"

Me: "Umm... it's stock?"

 

Grrr 05+ owners are lucky

 

I usually get 3 to 4 comments, thumbs-up, or the long stares every time I'm driving around town. Comments like:
nice car!
how fast does it go?
is it a skyline?
where did you buy it?
I thought they only sold those in Japan?
What size are those wheels!
That thing is tight/sick/gorgeous/blah blah blah!

I think my favorite is the one I get the most...that car is CLEEAAN!

 

I get the "thumbs up" at stop lights all the time. Even a couple kids in a ricey Honda were taking pics of my car while we were driving on the interstate.

 

I have this Neighbor who came to me twice when I was washing my car,
saying that his wife ask him to buy a AWD G Sedan for her as she think the G is the most beautiful car & we get a lot of snow here in Maine. Each time she saw or hear my car go by, she'd bug him again. So he was asking all kinds of questions, making me feel good about my G.

Then the other day, I was taking photos on the street after my Wilwood BBK
install, the big cross drilled 13.6" 2 Piece rotor & Big caliper freshly painted blue shining through Piaa Super Rozza thin spokes was making me staring & I must have taken over 50 digital photos at different angles.

Then this other older neighbor came up to me & said hi as I was taking shots, I said hi back & was sure I'll get some complements like good job or looks great etc.

He open his mouth & said "Nice Volvo! Must be great in snow!"

I was like, WTF? Turns out he was drooling over my wife's 04 Volvo XC90 SUV & wasn't even looking at my car. My wife's black Turbo6 XC90 we bought recently, although an 04 & bone stock, has taken my thunder away & got more complements in the first two month than my G for the whole 1st year.

 

People think im a drug dealer.

The most frequent compliment I get is on the color, Lakeshore Slate rules!

1, I thought it was Nissan Z but I figured out from the front that it was different! (I have top secret front bumper) --- seriously, I didn't even bother explaining...
2, Damn, I knew this car can fly! I heard your racing exhaust from distant (I have Injen Exhaust, Crawford H/F cats and Nismo Header)
3, I saw some people looking and taking pics when I was looking from inside some buildings...
4, One time a person with DB9 tried to race me when I was exiting ... I dun even know why...
