i was at a light his morning next to an old couple (like 80-90yrs). the wife was drving, and her husband sat up as i pulled alongside (im running the hks hi-power, so he must have heard me). anyway, i see him checking out my front rim (time attack with red lip) and he looks at me. i turn to my wife and look at her, we both giggle. i look back and the old guy has now adjusted his seat back and is wrenching his tired old *** to check out the back rims too! he just sort of shift back into his seat, looks at his camry dash and shales his head. he then turns and looks at me smiling. best compliment i ever got!

OMG i always get that hahaha! I think its funny that there are some car illiterate people out there that really think they are the new skylines lolol... as for the post...

My fav comment was from an older guy (75ish if i had to guess) who was driving a nice cadilac... he pulls up next to me at a light and goes " is that the new version of the 300z" i look at him and giggle and tell him "sort of... i guess you can say its the infiniti version... nissan made the 350z in replace to the 300z" He then tells me "i figured it was yous since i sawe it said skyline" lol i tried to explain that i debagded the original lettering at least 3 times.... i started to get annoyed that he was totally clueless that a person can take off the lettering off the car... light turns green... i say forget it, thanks for the compliment and i left haha... i hate that friggin light! its so long!

i also get the respect of other g owners who shake there heads as i drive by, one guy actually did almost a complete stop coming the opposite direction in a stock dg g-coupe so i slowed down as well... he poped his out the window and told me " real tight ride man! " so i nodded and said thanx and gassed it up a lil for him im running an AEM cold air intake and a magnaflow catback exhaust system... as for the nissan Z owners... all friggin *******s if you ask me...

One of my neighbors with a Porsche said, "That is one nice Mercedes." =)

Another neighbor said, "Damn you changed EVERYTHING on your Z! It looked good stock but WOW."
(I used to have a 350 and they think it's the same car. lol.)

In Grand Rapids, MI, they have a huge cruise (like the Woodward Dream Cruise) with thousands of cars and many separate car shows. I pulled into a lot that had several Shelby Cobra replicas, and one immaculate Elanore GT500E recreation (from Gone in 60 Seconds).

As I went to check out the GT500E, the owner asked if I would mind him snapping a few pictures of my car. Then his wife asked to see inside the car. They both said that my car was one of the most beautiful cars they had seen at the cruise. I was flattered. I couldn't beleive the positive reaction my car got from some of the old school guys.

My car is black, tinted windows, lowered, and has black/polished Volk Gt-s wheels.

Almost any time I park my car, lots of guys will walk over and check it out. After one jog I had at a bike and hike trail, one guy was checking out my G and when he saw me getting in he asked me several questions. The guy owned an Audi A4 and he told me that I have a geat looking car. He asked me if it had over 200 HP, and when I said yes, he said WOW. Girls in particular seem to love the G. I wish I were still single, because the G is a nice conversation starter.

1. It is a skyline, just not called that in the U.S.
2. If he is referring to the GT-R, then the guy's and idiot.
