Advantages to lease pre-owned?

The dealer I'm working with just got in an 06 coupe 6spd with 4800 miles (must've been a repo or a trade), would I have better bargaining power on a slightly pre-owned car than with a new one? do they look to unload these fast as possible?

All i know is that when you lease, you save a load of money that you have to put down.!! Also the buy-out at the end of the term isnt that bad too.!!
The key advantage to the lease is that at the end of the term you can either buy it or get any car at the dealership if you wanted to.!! From what ive heard, infinity will reward you if your car is in the mile bracket or under.!! Mabye even a early termination lease also.!! dont quote me on this cause i could be wrong.!! Its all what you want out of the car basicly..!!!

Low mileage car, with few to no mods, and minimal money spent on maintnenance (only what's required for warranty), and you don't plan to keep it more than a few years, then a lease might be a good option.

Otherwise, if you are fortunate to find a 'previous owner' as I was, who enjoys his cars, but never abuses them, and gives them maintenance beyond what's required, and you plan to keep it for a long time, a lease would make no sense.

From: bay area.
My dad wants to lease his next car. Probably BMW, b/c after warranty BMW sucks so he can just turn in it when the lease is over, and trade it in for a newer model.

leasing is rarely a good option. I would only consider it if its related to work or for taxes.

i guess it would also depend on the buy out price at lease end.
