why do you want to roll the window up and down with the remote for?

I don't seem to find any use for that feature.

Maybe someone can give me a good scenario of when to use this feature.

I know the BMW has the same feature but to roll up it also needs the keys in the door and turn to the lock position to roll it up

You park and your passenger did not roll the window up. You already closed the door when your passenger informs you that his or her window is not fully up. Press keyfob to lock and rollup windows.

i have an '06. you can only roll window DOWN with the remote on any year G. if you can roll them back up, you have the KP technologies window module installed and you just dont know it.

on the other hand, you can roll the window UP/DOWN if you turn the key in the door handle.

It is also useful when it is 100 degrees out and you can roll the windows down 15 seconds before you get to the car. In my case, I can roll down the windows from my office giving the car a couple minutes to let some heat out.

As mentioned, get the KPTech Window Up and Sunroof modules. I have the Window module and it does come in quite handy. It's quite a simple install per the enclosed instructions.

The 2 reasons, mentioned above, are why I have the window module. I need to get the sunroof module at some point.

In the manual it explains how to roll the windows up using the key in the door. One reason not to have the keyfob - roll up feature is that if the button accidently gets held down while in a pocket, the window might pintch a person, kid or animal. Once or twice the windows have been rolled down when I never intended to do so.

Before someone comments about leaving kids in the car... I have none!
