Dealership in Northern NJ quote for 15K service
I'm sure I could do all the work myself. The problem is that I have a couple issues that I want them to look at. One is a really bad rattling noise in the transmission (6mt coupe) . It sounds like something is spinning that shouldnt be (throwout bearing?). When the car warms up it goes away. The other problem is that the airbag warning light flashes red constantly in the drivers cluster. It just started happening on Sunday. I figure by doing th 15K checkup they cant come back and say that they wont do warranty work because I neglected the car (which I completely baby with only the best treatment).
On a final note. I have never had some much trouble with even a used car as I have had with this 37K "luxury sports coupe" . I truly love this car and love driving it but feel I got jerked on true quality. My 95 honda civic runs way better. Just not as cool.

Do the 15K service yourself, and then go take your car in to get looked at by the dealership. Don't feel obligated to have them do the service on your car so they can look at something extra your warranty should cover anyways.
^ +1 I'd bring my car in just for the rattling issues without any oil change or work done. They HAVE to inspect your vehicle if you have complaints. For my 15k service I got the basic oil change, replaced the in-cabin and engine filters myself for under $100. btw...here in Cali, the 15k service cost $200 +/-
