New G owner and was wanting a horn beep when i lock/unlock the car

New G owner and was wanting a horn beep when i lock/unlock the car

I got my car about a month ago and havn't had much time to look at the manual but was wondering if anyone knows how to get a honk/beep when i lock/unlock the car? All it does now is flash its lights and would like to have something beep or honk so i know it locks. Pleas dont flame this forum i am new!!

hold down the lock and unlock keys until your hazards flash.

he's kidding. that will make your windows roll down. just hold both the unlock and lock buttons down at the same time for a few seconds. your hazards will flash and your horn should beep once. do the same thing again if you decide to turn the horn beep off again.

If you want the horn to also beep for unlock (not just lock) I think you can have the dealer change that in the BCM settings.
