Anybody have any luck programming Keyless Entry??

I have a 2004 G35 Sedan and the keyless unit I got is correct but an extra from the dealership...here are the directions I went by:

1. Get in car, close doors, lock using door button

2. Put Key in and out completely 6 times within 10 seconds and hazards flash.

3. Put key in accessory position, click lock on the key fob.

4. Hit Unlock and Lock on the door

5. Take Key out and Hit Unlock

6. Keyless should be programmed

These directions are for a 2004 Frontier, so not sure how exact they are. I get the car to flash the hazards in step 2, but nowhere further....can anybody help me here??

After you get the hazard lights to blink you put the key back into the ignition and turn the key to on but don't start the car. After you turn the key to on press a button on the new remote and the hazard light should blink confirming the programming of the key. Step four is only required if you want to program more than 1 remote. To get of our programming take the key out of the igintion and unlock the door with the door locks and open your door.

My remote must have a dead battery because i can clear the code (key in and out 6 times in 10 seconds) but hitting LOCK on the remote does nothing once i put the key in accessory after that....LOL and that leads me to ask...

how the heck do you open the key fob to get to the battery? sheer force?

Yeah, you just pop it open from the sides or the bottom of the remote. You have to use a little force to open it.

You need to make sure you turn it to the ON position, just don't start the car.

Also, don't goo too fast. I could not reprogram; slowed down and it went exactly as advertised.
