What would your next MOD be if you had $1000 to spend?

Hello all. I need your input on this one.
I have a 6MT with two MODs. (K&N CAI and Stillen true dual cat-back exhaust). I'm ready for my third performance MOD, which I'm guessing should be the headers. I'm willing to spend about $1000 (installation not included). What do you guys think? Would you do a different MOD?
I really appreciate your input. Thank you in advance.

i would think so. a good alternative to that would be the mrev+ which has really nice dyno proven gains.

Wait for the new Cosworth, get mrev2 and a 5/16 iso thermal spacer, headers, HFC or test pipes, or do some exterior work. There are countless things you can do, you just have to pick what you want done

Please note my mods in my sig while reading my suggestion. MREV+ (spacer/lower plenum). With your current modsand your given budget, I think this would be the most complementary and the most effective option for you.

Headers are fine, but I have a feeling that my cats provided as much or more gain than the headers (in both power and volume). I also found the MREV+ to smooth the mechanicals a bit. As an example, consider the difference between driving with the AC on or off (in terms of starting out and shifting). The MREV+ had as significant of an effect. AC on is like it used to be with it off. And with the AC off, shifts are that much smoother still.

For more impressions, search for my review thread (Reviews section) from a while back. Another member found the exact same effects, so I know they are not isolated benefits.

MREV+ and spacer. It will give you more gains than headers and cost less.

From everything I've read the MREV2 + 5/16" spacer seems like the best option for rev-ups. Suspension-wise everybody seems to agree that sway bars are a huge bang for the buck. The Stillen sways run ~$300. The MREV2 runs around $450 (since you won't have the core credit option). The 5/16" spacer runs around $260-340 depending upon whether you go copper/iso-thermal or not. So you could conceivably do all three for a little over $1K.

Seems like those three upgrades together would make a dramatic difference in performance/handling for right at your budget.

Uhh... noob question

What is a MREV/2? Is it the piece onto which the plenum mounts on? How are the aftermarket ones better than the stock?

You can ditch the jacket and head over to Motordyne's site for more info.
