urgent! what is the name of the legal act/law protects consumers?

what is the name of that act/law that protects consumers from denying warranty w/o proving the link between the mod and failure??

thanks! i was just on the phone with infiniti consumer affairs and this woman was telling me that since the dealer won't service the car, it's not covered by the warranty! which makes zero sense.

then i explained to her that they called corporate to determine if they should warranty the suspension and corporate said no since i have Z springs. this is BS b/c there is no link between the springs and the compression rod failure!

not to mention that my service adviser said that there was a service bulletin for the compression rod problem as soon as i described the symptoms!

I've had nothing but bad experiences with the service departments at infiniti dealerships.... they just want you to cough up all that cash so they can get a cut of your money. they are only out for their own best interests... I've been lied to my face every single time I have goin in and they are lucky I haven't drop kicked their @sses yet

just last week, i went in to get my internally cracked headlight looked at for warranty. I caught the head of the service department, not the manager, the guy above the manager and after giving me some grief about it he finally agreed to it, but "they aren't in stock, but we will overnight them so come back".... MY @$$ they overnighted them... they always have parts in stock and tell me to come back.. I've heard the parts manager almost every single time tell my service guy they had them in stock and then have the service guy come out and tell me they will have to order them just so he didnt have to deal with me that day.... when i went back to get it replaced, the same MF'n skampy a$$ed service guy who always lies to me tries to tell me that he doesnt think they will warranty it after he looked at it. I told him I could care less what he thinks, just replace the d@mn thing because that is what i was there for, not his POS worthless opinion... 2 hrs later they finished and did a half@ssed install... their is a huge gap between the hood and light and one side sits over the lip of the fender.. I also saw them searching me engine bay for any mods. If I have one more bad experience there, I will sick the BBB on their @$$es hardcore.

PS Holman Infiniti of Maple Shade is the POS dealer that that all happened at...

(sorry to jack, but had to vent some)

yeah what pisses me off even more is that my service adviser is like, "we're documenting everything". i wonder if this is gonna make it tough to find another dealer to service the car. i have a handful in the bay area i can try. regardless it'll have to wait until jan/feb.

what i don't understand is, unless there's a clear link, why not just say it is under warranty? doesn't corporate pay for warranty work anyway??

i got a call back from consumer affairs. the dealership needs to prove that my sway bars and springs are causing the creaking sound or are causing other suspension parts to creak. that's the word she got from the warranty department. now i need to hash this out with the dealer. any suspension gurus that can help me out? where's q45tech???

What exactly failed on your car that you're trying to get them to replace?
