Siping factory 19" tires

I have siped tires on two other vehicles in the past on 16" & 17" all-season tires. They help alot with winter weather traction. It has been a good alternative to buying winter tires. It costs $10-15 per tire.

However, I am contemplating the effectiveness of siping on the 19" tires. Tread depth is much smaller and harder. Has anyone siped your 19" tires??

The 19" tires aren't all seasons, so even if siped, they shouldn't be used in the winter as below 40, they will turn as hard as a brick

No. Sniping performance summer tires would not do anything for the snow and would RUIN the tires for the summer.

Best bet would be to find some oem 18s and slap some dedicated winter tires on them.

from what iread of the link.. it shows that it will improve the traction for performance tires in the snow by more than 200% but that still would only be coming up to par with non-siped all season tires...
