Interesting results after performance muffler install
so you only got the muffler correct??? If so that is why you are loosing power! You need to put the stock on back on for now and save up a couple hundred dollars. Plus that thing says its for a chevy camero????

You buy that cuz it's called "G Force"?
j/k
Sorry bro, that was a bad purchase. Imo, invest in an exhaust that has had some R&D done for our VQ35's. Meantime, put the OEM back on.

You should really get away from using the term backpressure. Google the term exhaust velocity to get a better idea of what could be going on. Also, I am assuming you are using a G-tech or similar to measure your 0-60. There are tons of variables that could affect times such as traction (tire condition-road surface), temperature, g-tech info input, etc. I would agree with the past few post and put the stock back on. I would do it for no other reason than to get the dtm style muffler off the car.
well, I will do more tests and will put my oem muffler back on if the results are still against this muffler vs oem.
But aside from performance loss, the muffler seriously sounds great and looks great! Unfortunately I care about performance too much to let this one stay because of the good looks and sound
I am still trying to understand what is causing power loss. Someone please enlighten me. Design of the muffler looks good and I just don’t see how this muffler could have more back pressure than stock. Its designed like a resonator with no flaps , straight through design. So what’s happening here?
ALso dont forget i have a 2.5 inlet vs factory 3", maybe this has to do with the change in performance?
Anyone with good math skill maybe can figure this one out......????

i have this muffler. imo, it sounds like a fart can and that's why it's on my corolla
if you post this in the intake/exhaust forum you might get more answers. in my experiences, this forum doesnt get as much attention.

ohhhhhhhh you have a sedan? maybe i missed that in your first post (i read it in abother one of your threads)...that makes more sense as to what you got that muffler now (more so than if you got a coupe). i thought you had this muffler on a coupe which is why i wasa so eager for pictures!
anyway...carry on

on a corola it might sound like a fart can, maybe because its 4 cil.?..It absolutly sounds nothing like a fart can on the g but sounds great with deep tone at lower rpm like it should on a car like this.
