Would the nearest dealer being 90 miles away stop you from buying?

Quick feeler for everyone - looking into getting a 2007 Sedan. I am moving next month to Georgia and the closest Infiniti dealership is 90 miles away. Would that keep you from buying if the dealership were that far away? I'm just trying to think ahead with scheduled maintenance and warranty issues.

yes. because if you run into any trouble, is that much more of an inconvience to you, when things need to be fixed. but living in Los Angeles, its not that big of a deal to drive 90 miles unless you drive between 5am - 9am or 1:30pm - 7pm going with traffic.

Yes. I've taken my G in for various warranty issues, and a 160 mile roundtrip drive is not something I'd like to do very often

Depending on your options. I mean if there is only some crappy-brand dealers within 90 miles then I would go pass 90 miles ... other than that NO.

I bought my used sedan from the Infiniti dealer 140km away from where I live. There are two local dealers in our town. One is Ford the other is GM. Anyone with an import here has to be prepared to go for a drive at least once and awhile. It works out good though since it is a small town. It's nice to go to the city and get some things done every couple of months.

I purchased my 07 from the closest dealership to me, which is about an 8 hour trip there and back. I didn't think twice about it.

So for you guys that live far away from the dealerships how do you handle your scheduled maintenance? Do you drive to the dealership everytime or have you found alternatives like a Nissan dealership or somewhere different?

I drove 300 something miles from Cleveland to a dealership in Indianapolis to get mine. It was the only place they had what I wanted for the price I wanted.

An 8 hour trip to get routine maintenance is certainly not feasible for me so I just take it to my local Nissan dealership. I've been taking my Infiniti's to them for over 3 years now.

Could make for a long day.........

If you need service why not go to the closest Nissan dealership if one's closer? Warranty work is something else, you've got to make the drive
to Infiniti........hopefully you won't have to! Bright spot....free loaner!

If you really love the car it won't stop you. Don't want to buy another car just because the dealership is closer to you. Lets say you end up getting a different car, then whenever you see a 2007 sedan on the road you're going to beat yourself up - "why didn't i just get the infiniti"

Just go with your heart and what you really love. 90 miles is not as far compared to what others have driven to get their cars.

My nearest dealership is about 90 miles away, and I bought one. And I don't even use that dealership, but the one 200 miles away (I have family near that one).

Do 15K services at Infiniti dealership, the oil changes and 7500 mile services done at local Nissan.
