Why Does the Coupe Cost More?

I'm thinking it cost more cause it's more appealing IMO. If they ever make Dodge Viper Sedan(not gonna happen but just for an example)...how does a Dodge Viper Sedan sounds like to a consumer?

porsche and aston have sedans coming...ferrari already has a sedan its called a quatroporte.
The coupe is also probably a lower production target...lower numbers require higher margins to cover costs, and profit.
