I don't know, should you? No offence, but how are we supposed to know if you should trade or not? Do you require 4 doors now?

The depreciation in the first 2 years is hardest. It should stabilize now.

Of course, the moment you buy a new car, it will start to go down too. Even faster at first than the car you just got rid of.

I just priced a car yesterday, and the car I would like to buy was approximately $38K My 04 is worth roughly $21K. Or the private party value is approximately $13K less than what I paid for my new car 3 1/2 years ago.

Instead, since I paid off my car last fall, I've been putting $500/month into a savings account for my next car.

If there's nothing wrong with your current car, why trade it in? You'll lose too much money. If you don't care about losing money, then do what you want and you should consider just leasing your next car if you want something new every 3 years.

My next door neighbor always try to get one over me. Him being a USC alumni and me a UCLA guy, it seems we always have this competition going on. Just last weekend he came home with a brand new white 07 G35 sedan. Now I guess I look like sh*t.

Yeah, i'm clear and free on my coupe. Good point on the savings account thing, I've been doing that too.

if you need a sedan I would get the '07... however, if you don't have a "need" for sedan, I'd wait for the '08 coupe (it's almost here!!!)

I wish I got a coupe sometimes, sometimes I don't.

They look way better, but I really like having 4 doors.

But, some of the appearance mods aren't available for the sedan, unfortunately.
