Orginal Navigation System!?

Hey guys,

If I get a 05 G35 coupe, with no Navi on it, can I had it install in the infiniti dealership? I mean the original Infiniti Navi System. How much does it cost and do i need to have Premium Package to go with it?

It is very hard & expensive to add the factory navigation system to a G that didn't come with it. One of the big issues is that the main wiring harness is different on cars that come with the nav system.

I believe a grand total of 2 people have actually done this. Thousands of people have asked about how to do it, and only 2 have actually done it - this should indicate how hard it is to do.

If you could get a dealer to do it, it would be several thousand dollars. But the dealership will probably just say "It can't be done".

i don't think any infiniti dealer will ever agree with trying to put a factory nav into a car that didn't come with one. they will probably tell you to go aftermarket. some of the aftermarket dd nav/head units are very nice.

What do you mean aftermarket, will it be the same as the original Infiniti Navi system that would slide out of the dash board?

no it will not slide out of the dash like the orginal but there are double din that remain visable at all time of a single din that flips out. The dual din looks like it belongs in our cars. search for the pioneer z1 it is very popular

Does the Pioneer z1 supports Infiniti G35 coupe? The Pioneer AVIC Z1 looks awesome, but i am just wondering there can i place the monster in G dashboard? Anyone have any picture of Pioneer AVIC Z1 in their G?
