Hello - Infiniti n00b here
Hi- I just want to say hi to everyone in this forum. I currently have a BMW 328is that I will soon be trading in for the 07 G sedan. My wife and her family are long time Nissan supporters and I have been a bimmer driver most my life. I just want to tell you all that I am officially converting over to the Nissan/Infiniti side pretty soon. I love the bimmer badge/performance heritage but now being married and thinking in more practical terms, I've realized that I will get more out of my money by purchasing an Infiniti. I'm sick and tired of the maintenance that comes with the bimmer. I understand its an awesome driving machine but what good is that if you have to spend an arm and a leg just to keep it that way?? My dad has an "old" nissan truck that still runs great and the only thing he had to ever replace were the tires!!!!!
Me on the other hand...a 96 3 series coupe...replaced the radiator TWICE, replaced the cat converter, both o2 sensors, brake switch, brake hoses, replaced brake rotors several times, onboard computer malfunction, seat adjustment gear broken, auto windows getting stuck, AC intermittently fails etc etc
I can't stand this $#it anymore. Plus, I think the 07 G sedan is a BEAUTIFUL piece of engineering brilliance. I can't believe its cost compared to an 07 3 series. I hope I dont get flamed for being a bimmer driver in this forum...I just want you all to know I will be here soon as a G owner. Thanks

Well, I don't know if I'm going to get beat up for this either, but before I bought my 07 sedan, I was seriously considering the BMW 328i. For about a week I was sure I was going to get one. It's a great car to be sure. Ultimately, I decided to go with the G35 for a number of reasons including power, styling, and brand loyalty. I've been driving a nissan for the past 17 years and it never let me down. Never the less, welcome.

don't worry, most of us here are civilized and can co-exist with others.

but don't get your hopes up, the g coupe and 1st generation sedan have both had their fair share of problems.
since you'll be getting th 07 sedan, take a look at this:

(btw - my intent is not to scare you away. the g is a great car. i just want you to be well informed
