althought, i live in cali i will be regeistering my car in texas. but i was wondering could i get away with FKUCARB as a vanity plate?

I highly doubt they will grant that one... but even if it did slip through, that would draw way too much attention from law enforcement. You would be begging for them to look at you breather mods...

If you were bone stock - or totally CARB compliant I guess it wouldn't matter...

it did cross my mind, but like you said it would attract unwanted attention, i was merely joking. but on a serious note would i have to comply with california laws even if my car is regeistered elsewhere?

technically yes... and legally you are suppose to register your car in the state of your primary residence... and primary residence is determined to be where you spend the majority of your time.

So legally and technically you are supposed to... will you get caught? Possibly, but maybe not - there are a bunch of factors that would raise the chance of getting caught.

What state are you licensed in?

here in california, but i'm also in the military and my home of record is actually texas. i've been thinking of switching to texas for numerous reasons, tint laws, smog, higher price of regeistration, engine swap rules.
