Dealership charging me $350 for spark plug change!!!

Service advisor told me it would take 2 hours and they were charging me $20/plug. Told them to $(*) off. Picked up some NGK platinums for $5.00 each. Had my dealership mechanic ( he drives a nissan) install the plugs for $20. Took him half an hour.

I also bought some CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner as well for $5.00. Cleaned my MAF and the car runs like a champ!!!

I don't think i'll let my dealership touch my car again other than a warranty work.

Stealerships are like hospitals, an aspirin costs you $10.00 b/c you have to pay for the labor for the pharm tech to pull it and send it to your room, the nurse to give it to you, the paper cup they put it in, the water out of the faucet to take the pill etc............................................... ....

Heh, join the club. However, by bringing it to them, you are still giving them a chance to f*ck somethin up, even under warranty.

I did it myself for i think 60 dollars, roughly cost about 10 dollars a plug i think. It is a pain in the **** for the most part.

Just installed new plugs this weekend. Cost me $50 for NGK and 30 minutes of my time with the right tools.

I can tell you that if you take off the upper plenum that it is alot easier to get access to everything.

lesson learned lol. Definitely do all the maintenance that you can yourself. Saves money and teaches you more about cars.

Just follow the instructions and you are in good hands. Remember it will not take nearly as long with the right tools.

True but requires more work and more time and really not neccessary. Half an hour is all it will take with enough practice.

I just had a fuel injector changed under warranty and they changed the plugs for free. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

I thought our plugs last a very long time...something like the warranty period. If so, why are you all replacing the plugs? Just wondering...
