mrev problem

mrev problem

just installed Mrev 2 on my 06 6speed, reset ecu and all that good stuff. i dont see any vaccumb lines that i missed, The car car hardly hold 500rpms idle and keeps cutting out on me.
Help please

Assuming that you torqued all the bolts to the right inch-lb. settings, the gasket(s) are properly seated with no interference . . . Check the intake tube connections at both the MAF and the Throttle Body and be sure that you reconnected the emissions hose to the intake tube. That's all that I can think of for now.

Hmmm . . . By chance, you didn't touch or push the throttle body butterfly, did you?

In any event good luck with tracking down the problem.

I think I had a similar problem when I installed mine before.

Did you disconnect your battery before you disconnected the connection to the throttle body?

I solved the problem by doing the Idle Air Volume reset/relearn pedal sequence. The steps should be on the motordyne instructions pdf near the end.

Also, look for the rubber cup that surrounds the oil filler neck. That can get caught in where the gasket is when you put the MREV kit on and it will cause a vacuum leak that tightening will not fix.
