Mine had 44. They traded my vehicle for another dealer in the LA area. So they drove it directly from the port to Infiniti of Santa Monica.

My car was purchased off the lot and not ordered specifically for me. I was told it had 1 previous test drive on it before I took for a test drive with 15 miles on it and it had 21 miles on delivery.

6 miles on delivery

I told them I would not take the car if it had been driven in a demo. There was a slip in glove compartment that indicated the 6 miles were from the factory.

Yeah, I had that same note saying 10, (so they say) but the meathead salesman threw it away, thinking he was doing me a favor by cleaning out the glovebox.

They also threw out the little plastic plate after installing my front plate bracket. (again)

Most of the Asian companies do a test drive of all the cars that come off of the line. Usually a 1~2 mile spin around the test track. They check functional issues, as well as BSR's and NVH, etc.

Most domestic companies (Ford in particular) don't do any kind of evaluation test on the cars besides roll test. A few of the salaried employees at Ford are able to take cars home for evaluation, as long as the mileage is under 30 miles round trip (as someone stated earlier). Sadly, most of the people that do the evaluations just use it as transportation, however. The amount of cars that are used for these evaluations are very low, except for the cars durring the JD Power period. Even then, only about 30 cars per day (out of 900) make the trip. I think this is very sad.

I would gladly have 25 miles on the clock when I got the car if I knew that an engineer at Nissan drove it and fixed any little issues with it.

My 2007 G35 is being built now. I think my purchase contract said that there would be no more than 100 km on the car at the time of pickup.

I took a test drive in a G35S that was unprepped and still had all the protective sheets and stickers on it (yes, it looked funny going on the highway) and I assume it's going to be sold as "new". If it was going to be used as a regular demo car I would think they'd remove all the protective stuff.

BTW, most G35's in Canada are X's, including the demo vehicles. We wanted the Sport so maybe that's why they let us test drive that car. I hope it wasn't specially ordered for someone.

My dealership was trying to convince me to buy..I was trying to convince my wife I was given the car to drive for the afternoon and take it to her for her to drive.
I picked it up that day with 6 before my drive and 32 when it went back to them. When I finally drove it off the lot as mine, it had 33 miles.
