I have a month left on my lease. Please help me decide!

My lease on my 04 Acura TL 6MT is coming up off of lease on May 21st. Originally I was thinking about extending my lease to wait for the G37 but I am not sure that is a great idea.

I love the coupe and even the new G35 S Sedan looks good. I do love performance that is why I was going to wait for the G37 however, I could prob save a lot of money by buying an 07 coupe or sedan now.

Are they easily modded?? I hate making this decision. I like something new that is why I wanted to wait but I think the sticker price will be outrageous on the G37. Plus I dont want to continue having my front wheel drive TL . LOL. Can anyone please give me some help and suggestions. Again, I am in to modding cars and getting rims etc. Will the 07's be good to me??

Thanks in advance!

Yes the G's are easily modded. The G is essentially the 350Z 2+2 so a lot of the parts developed for the Z will work on the G so there is pleanty of things you can do, as well as the pleanty of other parts designed specifically for the G35. If you want forced induction you there are 10+ kits available. I'm mean possibilities are endless. There are more parts available for the coupe than the sedan, so keep that in mind. Also, I would just recommend you wait for the g37. You can pretty easily guess the aftermarket will be all over this car as well.

Get a stock 08 G37 and you'll be killing non-FI G35 coupes all day long.

I am worried about the price of a G37 when it comes out. I figured I would get a great deal on an 07. I need my monthly lease payment under $500...I dont think the G37 will be that...I am assuming they will be around 550 or more.

It's your choice................

According to the sales manager of the local stealership the price of the G37
won't be that much different than the '07 G........who do ya trust? It really
pays to go on line and shop around.....here in Ca we have lots of dealerships
to choose from........plus your payment will have a great deal to do with how
much up put down......right? I think it would be a good idea to extend the
lease on your Acura for 90 to 120 days that would put you into August. The
G37's will be in the showrooms by then and you'll have lots of choices.

According to Edmunds.com, the G37 coupe will be priced under $44,000. If you want a car easily modded, then go with the G35 coupe. I mean they've had over 3 yrs to come up with aftermarket parts, which are literally at your disposal. It'll be a yr or two before manufacturers have perfected parts for the G37.

The thing with the G37 Coupe is, you might "pay" more, but you'll be spending countless dollars on performance mods for the G35 Coupe and that will more than make up the price difference. And even then the G37 Coupe will still outperform the G35 Coupe.

^ Well most new high end cars will out perform our G35's. Supposedly the 08' Accord coupe will have a 300 hp, 3.7 liter V-6 engine which will cost much less than the current G35.

So it's not really about paying more now but spending countless dollars on performance mods. It should be looked upon as a style preference.

What was the out-the-door price difference between the 2006 and 2007 sedans last fall? The MSRPs might be close, but I believe there were much larger discounts on the 2006.

It'll be like that.

Of course, even with the 2007 you'll probably get a much better price as fall approaches, unless they've already started to clear out inventory.
