I'm really looking forward to this drive to Florida.

I have been burning CDs during my commute to and from work every day. There will be a lot of music for me to listen to as well as playing with the XM.

This morning I got to play a little with another G Sedan. We were the only ones able to pull away in traffic on the expressway. Then on the way home I was one of three G Sedans travelling together, another 08x and an 07.

I picked up my brand new '07 G from a dealer in Hilton Head about 12 months ago and 'broke' it in on the way to Key West for Christmas. I've put roughly 27,000 miles on it since mid-Nov 07, mostly highway miles and anywhere from 1100 to 1600 miles per leg. I've taken real good care of the car and it has no scratches but I have a few complaints regarding interior squeeks and rattles that have cropped up in the last 10k miles or so, plus there's a big jump in road noise as the OEM tires wear down to about 70% of tread. On the plus side mileage has jumped from 24mpg to as high as 27mpg on the highway. City driving requires some revving and a fair amount of gear changes due to little or no torque from the engine so the mileage drops below 20mpg.

BTW, I drive all my cars a bunch not just the G. but I gotta tell ya this car just doesn't turn me ON like other's I've owned. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice, clean looking car but I've come to the realization that it's not for me. I regret selling it before leaving for Afghanistan as I won't return till April 2009. In the meantime, it'll be stored away under a car cover and connected to a trickle charger for the duration of my time abroad. Perhaps I will miss the car when I return but I'm sure there will be other cars worth looking into by then.

Just got back from trip GA, FL, and back. Around 1200 miles. Left Saturday and returned Tuesday.

Ave 80 mph, top 130 mph WOAH! felt smooth and averaged over 20mpg. Feel of car did not change at all during or after run. Always strong and solid

you guys are slow. lol jk.

i did st louis to miami, 1200 miles, 15 hrs with 3 stops for gas/quick bite. left late going back up so i spent the night in ga, but took about 15 hrs as well total driving.

just drove from miami to jax, 350 miles, in 4 hrs with no stops.

i just broke 50k miles in 2.5 yrs of owning my g so you can tell i do a bit of driving. currently 20 miles each way to work but i also road trip quite a bit around fl for car meets and such. been up to atlanta and zdayz as well but when im driving with other cars, the pace is usually a bit more relaxed.

edit: as far as speed, hit 145 mph a few times on the stl/mia trip and also on the way back from zdayz.

for comfort, im perfectly fine in the g once i get the seat set. usually the dealership screws me over by moving it and it takes me a couple weeks to get it back to normal lol.
