ABS self-test?

Many time I notice mild pulsations of the brake pedal, like ABS activation, when applying my brake after start-up. Happens within 10-20 seconds after start-up. Is this normal?

Yes, that is normal. It's the ABS self-test, which is covered in the Owner's Manual. After you start your car and proceed at a slow speed the ABS system will perform a test. My car usually performs this test at some 10mph.
