This appears to be a common issue among the RevUp engines. Until the manufacturer steps up to the plate, owners will simply have to monitor their engine's oil consumption and add oil accordingly.

 

06 MT ! Put me on the top of the list ! I put oil in like twice a week ! I have tried just about every oil from Royal Purple to Redline , Mobile One ! I just put Mobile One extended life ! I even tried a heavier weight ! 10-30 now to see if that helps ! Its crazy !

05 MT 30,000 miles. Had the car since last October. Pain in the ***, but I guess I'm used to it now. I go through about a quart every two weeks. More if I drive harder. Eventually I'll take it to the dealer but I've been too lazy to go

 

41,000 miles but am unsure if I have this problem.. Would Infiniti dealers check for this problem during services?

 

I burn about 1.5-2qts every 3k but I am also TT.

i have an 06 revup that burns roughly 1quart of oil every 1k miles, i will be contacting infiniti this upcoming week.

 

Are you saying you are on your 2nd (long block) engine? I am too. 05 MT 27k miles. Got a new long block at 25k, And this second engine seems to be doing the same thing.

 

Yep, second Engine. I feel I didn't spend this much money on a car that I need to monitor the oil. I've informed Infiniti of this and told them there is nothing in the manual that says check my oil every 1000 miles so they can suck it!.. I'm going to continue to drive and do oil changes every 3500 miles.. if the engine dies they have to replace it. .. I have a 100,000 mile warranty.. .. I will need about 20-30 engines in the life of my warranty.. I think it's in their best interests to just buy my car back and sell it as "certified Used"..
