I may be mistaken but I believe the only Nissan that shares a platform (FM) with an Infiniti is the 350Z. Since Altimas and Maximas are FWD, NO.

Japanese Domestic Market Skyline = North American Infiniti G35

Amani5 is right.....only the Z/FX/and G are on the FM platform.

To the best of my knowledge the FM platform is used in the Infiniti G35/ Nissan Skyline 350gt, Nissan 350Z and the Infiniti M/Nissan Stagea/Nissan Fuga. Others like the Altima, Maxima, and Murano are based on the FF-L platform.

You forgot about the FX and the upcoming EX. FM underpins the following vehicles:

350Z
G35/G37 Coupe/Skyline Coupe (V35 & V36)
G35 Sedan/Skyline Sedan (V35 & V36)
Stagea (M35 Series) (recently discontinued)
M/Fuga (Y50)
FX
EX

The Maxima and the Murano are underpinned by Nissan's FF-L platform along with the Quest and the JDM Teana, however the new 4th Gen Altimas are underpinned by Nissan's new D Platform which the Altima shares with the upcoming 3rd Gen Renault Laguna.
