I was suprised when the request went through, I wasn't sure if California DMV would let me put the word DIE on my plates.



I hesistated to put them on my car at first for fear of being a complete nerd but my friends insisted that I should.

I'm a captain for an pro gaming team - Paradigm Shift so I figured that pretty much seals my fate. I do get some smiles from people and thumbs up from other gamers on the road.

 

pro gamer huh. is that your full time job? what games do you play?

 

It's a hobby, not a career. We are sponsored but not on salary, we get some cash for participating in demos for our sponsors but that and any prize money goes into a fund to help players get to tournaments around the country.

Our team played 8v8 and 10v10 Battlefield games: BF1942, BF:V, BF2 and BF2142

Its a small niche with not a lot of fame, but we are proud of our achievements. We won the world championship in Battlefield: Vietnam beating a higher ranked german team on a euro server.

Currently we are inactive waiting for the next episode of the game to be released.

 

My problem with personalized plates, people remember it. Even people you don't want to.
