removing MAF

I'm not sure how the MAF sensor is designed in the 3.5 L since I do not own one yet (I currently drive a 1999 pontiac grand prix), but not having a MAF will result in decreased gas mileage and performance, for the computer will not know the optimal air/fuel ratio to use. Also, if you take it out, you'll most likely get the service engine light to turn on.
If an aftermarket intake system does not have anywhere to put a MAF in it, heres a simple solution, drill a hole in it, put the MAF sensor in there. I'm not sure how they look like in G's but that should do the trick.
