Driver Seat Switch

I have a 2003.5 6MT Sedan. On the side of driver seat there is a switch that has auto and cancel. I have tried the switch in both positions and still do not know what this switch does? Can someone help me

it's a rocker switch next to the memory buttons to enable or disable the automatic exit feature. When turned on, this allows the seat to automatically slide back when you shut off the car to allow for easier entry and exit. is that what you're talking about?

I think that is the switch indeed. The reason I am asking the question is that the seat does not move when I turn off the car.

it's probably just bad, cause it's the 2003 model which pretty much has bugs in it. coupes don't have it though.

Check the manual. It has details on the automatic seat features as well as storing memory. I thought there was a problem with my seat when I couldn't get it to memorize or goto previously memorized positions. I neglected to read the instruction that said the seat memory feature would not work if the switch wasn't in the auto position. If I recall correctly, there is also a troubleshooting procedure mentioned in the same section that is useful for resetting the system.

I haven't been able to find any bugs in my car but there was a mouse that made a mess in it last winter...
