Questions about a 6mt conversion
My car just got hit recently pretty bad, so I brought it to a shop that a friend of mines own. Now he offered to do a 5at to 6mt conversion for me for 2000. What do you guys think? is it worth it and what is actually involved in a conversion that I really need to look out for. Thanks
about how much should it cost outside because my buddy is buying a wrecked G and I guess he would just be take parts from the wrecked G and put it in mines. Now what exactly do I have to know if he is doing the right thing or not. Oh and 2000 is including parts and labor.
If it is 2000 including parts and labor and you are sure he knows how to do it, then by all means do it.
Is he keeping your AT parts along with that or is he just being a pal? There has to be a catch somewhere.

2k just in labor its just insane....i doubt that includes a 6mt tranmission and all the parts to go with it.....DONT DO IT!

i don't think you'll be friends after this is all said and done.
call me a skeptic, but $2000 sounds like he wants to experiment on your car.
GT Motorsports did some work on a G35 sedan recently and it cost $10,000-$12,000.
you get what you pay for....
