window stuck - fix
window stuck - fix
Someone mentioned removing the power window motor, dissasembling it, and then greasing it up. Well, my window has been stuck in the up position for weeks now and I finally got around to doing this fix. Download the shop manual (you can find it by searching for service manual). Go to the body section, then window, then window/regular removal/install. You do not need to remove the window or the window assembly if you don't want to. All you need to do is take the door finisher off(can find this in service manual as well), then take the metal covering off. Once you do that, its 3 screws and the motor is out. Take apart the motor and grease it up at all the obvious grease points. Put it all back together, and you should be good to go. Doing this little trick just saved me a couple bills. Its worth a shot if your having window motor troubles, and only takes about an hour or two tops.
