Check out my new mod!!!
Well its not something I wanted to do, but it happened. Never thought it would happen to me. Was at a redlight when out of nowhere this Titan comes crashing into me. Didnt see him coming b/c was fumbling with the radio. Estimated damages so far are around 9500, but the body shop said there may be a further $5000 in damages. What sux is that the other guys insurance only covers up to 10,000 and the rest would have to be covered by my insurance.
Does anyone have any experience in insurance when the other parties doesnt cover the full amount. It doesnt' seem fair for my insurance to pay up and have the possibility of making my premium go up on my insurace.

So far its not totalled. Louisiana law only requires you to carry a minimum of 10k property and 20k liability. Def do not want car after gonna part it out later and get something else. Some stuff will be:
Wheels, Brembos, DD with eclipse avn5435, vortech s/c with polished plenum and 1/2" spacer, HKS Ti exhaust. Retrofitted projector lights. Need to contact my insurance tomorrow

Possibly, your 'uninsured' coverage might cover the difference.
Not sure how under-insured claims work, but your insurance co may try to get back what they had to pay out on your behalf.
Maybe with a lawsuit with that guys insurance co. or from him personally or just absorb the difference with your uninsured coverage.
Probably depends on the $$ amount and if it's worth pursuing legally.
This shouldn't be your problem. Your Ins Co should handle all this stuff between the other party.
Shouldn't raise your rates b/c it wasn't your fault.
Let us know what your ins co says. I'm curious what happens in under-insured situations like this.
