Na man, I live in Harvey, but close enough. I see by your username that you maybe in the area.

As for the insurance, my company will take over the rest of the damage and pretty much go after the other guy. Yea my ins company said my rates are not going to go up b/c the accient isn't my fault. All in all I am just glad I'm ok. Going to get it fixed up then sell or trade it in for either g37, m5 or possibly a cls500. Havent really decided yet though.

you should be covered up to 20k worth of damages then. if you were in the car, that is covered under liability. if you were not in the car, i.e. not in the parked car, then that would fall under property damage.

The damages looks pretty bad but regardless of what your insurance company actually tells you about rates not increasing, it will eventually go up because of claims. I had damage done to my car twice, once by a pellet gun and once by a dealership during a detail. Both times covered under my comprehensive coverage and both times they specifically said my rates will not go up due to not at fault damages. Soon enough after the second claim, I get this letter from Allstate saying my rates has increased. I wasn't too happy because before I decided to go with my insurance for the dealership damage, I had my agent assure me my rates would not increase however it was not the case. Had I have known, I would of sued the dealership for damages instead of making a claim with my insurance since they admitted to the damages but their insurance policy sucked and did not cover the damaged.

I AGREE 100%, ITS HIS FAULT WHICH FALLS UNDER LIABILITY, HIS INSURANE SHOULD PAY UP

***Update on my car. MY car was finally ready after almost 3 months for the repairs on my accident. My car was in front of the body shop ready for me to take her home when all of a sudden one of the body shop worker doesnt pay attention while he is driving out of the parking lot and side swipes my whole driver side from the front fender to the rear fender. I coulnt believe what just happened. Well the body shop said they would fix it and in the end will just repaint the entire car for me. Well prob be without my car for a couple of more days.
