If you bought any of the products dealers offer in the finance office (warranty, lojack, gap ins, wheel & tire coverage, autobahn or clear bra) or anything else, please share what you bought and most importantly, why you chose to buy it. If you didnt buy anything, then what was your reason not to?

 

I didn't buy anything. The tire package didn't seem like it would save me $, and I don't plan on driving the car much so other products didn't seem to benefit me.

 

i bought the maintenance package cuz over all.. itll save me ~2G's over 5 years and although you pay for it now in your monthly payments, youll save a lot over time. wit that package, everytime you go and get your G serviced, you wont have to pay a dime cuz youll already be covering it in your monthly payments. so... unlimitied oil changes for 5 years, shiet... why not. also... wit this package, you save $150 on each tire when you need new ones. so if you have a 6spd, id recommend this package. other ones... you dont REALLY need.

 

lojack, so the dirty criminal down the street wont get all the way to mexico. downside.... the gov't can now track me.

 

Best buy is always rim/tire insurance.

Got the GAP insurance for $3 a month. Could have saved me thousands when I was upside down. I asked for it and the finance guy in his 40's said that he never had a person ask for it in his career.

 

all i bought was the wheel and tire package because it covers after market rims too. i plan on getting after markets and if i get that damaged..

 

extend warranty...didn't see the need to get anything else

 

Nothing, in fact nothing was even offered to me in there.

 

I got some gold care package where if i get any door dings, scratches or dents, paint chips on the front, curb rash on my rims, or tears in the leather seats they fix it for free. I paid 500 bucks for it and it lasts me 4 years. I figure i go once a year and get my car touched up it pays for itself

 

I'm looking to buy and wasn't aware of these. Can someone elaborate a little? How much do each of the add-ons cost, and is it variable by location?

 

oh yea they got me with lo jack.....but i was sold once he mentioned it....after having my last car stolen...seems like it was worth it...although it just sits there...

 

I don't think I was offered this. Sounds reasonable.
