I'm thinking of getting a new set of wheels/tires for my '06 sedan.
They would be new 18" '07 takeoffs. I am thinking the TPS would have to be reset by the dealer when I install them.
How much should I expect to pay for all 4 wheels to be reprogrammed ?

And when I put my original wheels back on (same location they came off) would they also have to be reprogrammed ?

The dealer is going to rape you on tha. Anywhere from 125.00 and up.

 

If you want to save some money i'm pretty sure your sensors off the 06' will fit on the stock '07, you can just swap them out. pretty much same as getting aftermarket rims. you just have to pay labor. instead of the rip off dealership charges like what Hi-Tech said.

My idea was to leave my stock wheels alone, so that I could switch them back with the new ones after a while to get a different look to the car.
With this in mind, it makes no sense to switch sensors, but thanks for the suggestion.

I still have to find out if '07 18's will fit my '06 sedan that came with 17's.
I'm thinking maybe not because the '07's are different sizes front and rear, and the offsets may be different.

 

Seriously, I think the dealer I went to by my house charges $120/hour, they tried to charge me $120 to program an extra key which took them less than 5 minutes to do.

 

If you're getting 18" wheels from someone else that comes with TPS, you'll have to reprogram them to your car. However, your car can only have 1 set of TPSs programmed to it. You can't run 2 sets of wheels and expect both sets of TPSs to work. Call around to local Infiniti and Nissan dealerships to get quotes. It's normally $90-120 dollars to get them program which actually takes them all but 5-10 minutes to do. You can however just take your existing TPS and swap them into your new wheels and not have to reprogram anything but again, that will cost you $80-120 to dismount/mount and balance your wheels. So in both cases, you'll be out $100 or so.
